I'm still here

haha Neco, that's the title of the Joaquin Phoenix Mocumentary right? I wonder if that says something about my blog :D

well, I haven't been far away in thoughts from this baby blog of mine or you dear Neco! or from writing for that matter. In fact, I think I might have way too much on my plate. I may actually have to *gasp* pick ONE thing and put the others aside for a bit. So, how to decide? Let's do inventory:

1) Alix Falls Under- middle grade fiction, a few chapters down, but it's coming a long nicely. Loving my characters, the setting etc. But I have hit a bit of a plotwall.
2) Zombie Girl- middle grade fiction, again a few chapters, it's going painfully slow. I'm not ready to put this one away though.
3) Apple (it's a working title)-only plot outline, character bits and pieces etc, possible young adult. This is slowly brewing.
4) Untitled Halloween story-still over 750 words lol but dangit I like it!
5) Short story collection- good time fillers, word exercises etc

Seems pretty easy, right? Go with Zombie Girl!

Oh, I forgot number 6) NaNoWriMo idea (only idea since I can't really write anything, that would be cheating I think!)- The Point in Dying, I can't put that aside, but since it isn't until November, I don't really have to worry about it now.

Now speaking of zombies, I started to read Rot and Ruin-good times :D full report when I'm finished
and speaking of books, I finished Mr. Peanut. Hmmm, not so much good times. I was intrigued and disgusted (not necessarily a bad thing), but in the end I still can't decide if I actually enjoyed the book.

Alright Neco, that's it for today! I won't stay away for so long next time, I promise! I still need to do a Dark Tower blog! Yay- I had a dream Justin Timberlake was cast as Eddie- somehow I was not unhappy. ?

Dairy, Zombies and The Dark Tower

Well well well, so much for keeping up on this baby blog, little Neco!

But as you know, I've been feeling a little icky. And a couple trips to the er have not helped!
What's wrong you ask? I may have developed an adult onselt allergy to dairy of all things! Yes that means milk, cheese, butter.. mmhmm... you have the idea. So while i wait to meet with the allergist to get this all straightened out I get to take ALL dairy out of my diet. ALL. Do you know what that means? I can live without the butter for a couple weeks. I can even live without the cheese, and milk and miscellaneous items (you would be shocked at some of the things that contain milk, Neco!) but the thing that is KILLING me my dear cyber friend, is chocolate. Let me give you a minute so you can fully appreciate that. I have to avoid eating chocolate for the next 2 weeks. That's like someone telling me my eyes were suddenly allergic to reading, and I would have to stop looking at words! The horror! **sigh** It's only 2 weeks, right? (no, don't remind me that I may actually be allergic to dairy and have to avoid it for life!!! Fiddle dee dee, Neco, fiddle dee!)

Random thought, do you know who doesn't have to worry about dairy allergies? Zombies! On the other hand, I guess they don't have a hankering for cheese all that much, do they? I wonder what zombies are allergic to? There's a story idea in there somewhere.

So, onto something else that's kind of a big deal. My favorite book series of all time, by my favorite author of all time, The Dark Tower by Stephen King will soon be made into a trilogy and TV series. For full details, read http://http//www.stephenking.com/promo/dark_tower_film_and_tv/news_tracker/.
I'm a little giddy! Ok, ok, I'm a lot giddy! Already the haters have come out to protest, but I have no doubt this will be epic! The big question of course, who will play Roland? My dream cast has changed over the years. I'll have to think on it. But I would love to see Viggo Mortensen in the role. To me, he is the obvious choice. I am going to have to dedicate an entire post to a dream cast. What fun that will be, eh Neco?
I think I will do that for next week's post then. Maybe put up a poll as well.

What if zombies had an allergic reaction to low IQs? high IQs?
